Trophy Heads

While my journey with clay is only beginning, the material for me is a wonderful metaphor for life and state of mind. Working with clay requires care to avoid oversaturation and fragility as well as dryness and cracking. It’s a careful balance reminiscent of Goldilocks: The clay has to be just right, not too wet or too dry. Connecting the pieces requires planning and patience to ensure successful integration. Details can be added by carving textures and features, stripping away the top layer to reveal something deeper beneath.
