Hilary Christian, a resident of Baltimore, Maryland, earned her BFA in General Fine Art from the Maryland Institute College of Art on a full-tuition scholarship. She later completed her MPS in Creative Art Therapy at the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York.
Grave rubbing in cemeteries with her mother and playing in a coffin built by her grandfather shaped Hilary’s perception of darkness and light. Her interests in travel, culture, and death rituals inform her work as a multidisciplinary artist. While she spent the first half of her career advocating for individuals with disabilities, today she owns Kaleidoscope Amusements, a premier Maryland-based arts and entertainment company. Hilary also has a consistent art practice that has resulted in two solo shows and a public art commission as well as acceptance into a highly competitive, juried clay exhibition.
